Booking Software for Kite, Wing, Windsurf and SUP Schools

One calendar for every sport you teach, matched to the instructors and spots that can run it.

Wind and flat-water schools have the same headaches as surf schools, plus a few of their own: lessons that only work in a narrow wind window, instructors who are qualified for one sport but not another, expensive kit that has to be in the right place, and customers who need a multi-day course rather than a one-off session. SurfSlot started with surf schools, but nothing in it is surf-only. Kite, wing, windsurf and SUP schools use the same booking, instructor, spot and waiver tools.

At a glance

  • SUP built in, plus your own activities (kitesurfing, wing foiling, windsurfing…)
  • Instructors and spots tagged by activity, so lessons only go to the right people and places
  • Wind-speed and wind-direction alerts per spot
  • Private, group and coaching lessons with capacity, age and level rules
  • Multi-session courses and class packs
  • Rental shop and equipment tracking
  • Per-participant digital waivers, including minors

Set up the sports you actually teach

Out of the box SurfSlot includes surfing, SUP tours, bodyboarding, coasteering and kayaking as activities. You can add your own in the school profile, so a centre can run kitesurfing, wing foiling and windsurfing alongside SUP in one account. Each lesson product belongs to an activity, and when a school runs more than one activity, lessons are labelled by activity on the calendar so the day's plan is readable at a glance.

A lesson product carries the rules that matter on the water: duration, maximum participants, private or exclusive sessions, minimum age, skill level, per-person price tiers, available days and an availability window. You can also add your own checkout questions, which is where kite and wing schools usually ask for body weight or previous experience so the right kite or board size is ready on arrival.

The right instructor for the right sport

The most expensive scheduling mistake in a multi-sport centre is putting a SUP guide on a kite lesson. In SurfSlot each instructor is tagged with the activities they teach, the levels they teach and their working days and hours. When lessons are assigned automatically, SurfSlot only considers instructors whose activities match the lesson, so a wing foil lesson goes to someone who teaches wing foiling.

Instructors get notified when lessons are assigned or moved, and the team calendar shows who is on which session. More detail on the instructor management page.

Spots, wind and the go/no-go call

Each spot (a beach, lagoon or launch) is set up with the activities that can run there, so a flat-water lagoon can host SUP and beginner wing while the open beach hosts kite. You can set a backup spot and give each spot its ideal wind directions.

SurfSlot pulls live wind and swell for every spot and shows them on the dashboard. Upcoming lessons are flagged when the forecast wind is stronger than your school's limit or blowing from a direction that doesn't suit that spot, so you can move or cancel before customers set off. Moving a lesson notifies everyone booked onto it by email and SMS.

To be straight about one limit: the automatic flags cover wind that is too strong or from the wrong direction. There is no separate minimum-wind trigger yet, so on a light day a kite school makes the call from the live wind reading on the dashboard rather than from an automatic alert. See surf condition alerts for how the flags work.

Courses, packs and multi-day progressions

Kite and windsurf customers rarely book one lesson. They book a beginner course over several days and then come back for supervised sessions. SurfSlot supports this in two ways:

  • Multi-session lesson products, spread across days with a set gap between sessions, with an option to block people joining once a course has started.
  • Class packs: prepaid bundles of sessions with an expiry and cancellation window, drawn down one session at a time, so customer and school can both see what is left.

If you run residential kite or wing weeks with accommodation, the surf camp booking software module handles rooms, packages with lessons included, deposits and extras in one booking.

Rentals and equipment

Most wind and SUP centres earn real money from rental: SUP boards by the hour, foil boards to students who have finished a course, wetsuits and harnesses. SurfSlot's rental shop sells hire online with its own availability, and equipment tracking keeps an inventory of boards, sails, kites and wetsuits and records what was assigned to which lesson. See rental management and equipment tracking, or our guide to running a SUP and board rental business online.

Waivers and safety records

Every participant gets their own waiver link after booking, not one signature per group. You write the waiver text and add custom fields: medical conditions, swimming ability, emergency contact. Under-18s are signed by a parent or guardian. Unsigned waivers get an automatic reminder before the lesson, and the dashboard shows who is still missing. Each signature is stored with a timestamp. If you need a starting point for the wording, adapt our free surf school waiver template for your sport, and have a local lawyer check it. More on the digital waivers page.

Pricing for seasonal wind schools

Many wind schools trade hard for a few months and very little the rest of the year, which is exactly when a monthly subscription hurts. SurfSlot has no subscription, no setup fee and no lock-in. A SurfSlot booking fee is added at checkout, so we only earn when a customer books, and a flat month costs you €0. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Frequently asked

Is SurfSlot only for surf schools?

No. Surfing is where it started, but SUP is built in and you can add your own activities such as kitesurfing, wing foiling and windsurfing. Instructors, spots and lesson products are all tagged by activity.

Can SurfSlot stop a SUP instructor being assigned to a kite lesson?

Yes. Automatic assignment only considers instructors who are tagged with the lesson's activity, as well as the right level and working days.

Does SurfSlot warn us about the wind?

Yes, it flags upcoming lessons when the wind is stronger than your limit or from a direction that doesn't suit the spot. There is no automatic minimum-wind alert yet, so light-wind decisions are made from the live wind reading on the dashboard.

Can we sell multi-day kite or windsurf courses?

Yes, as multi-session lesson products spread across several days, or as prepaid class packs that customers draw down session by session.

Can we rent SUPs and boards through the same system?

Yes. The rental shop sells hire online, and equipment tracking records your inventory and what was used on each lesson.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. There is no subscription, no setup fee and no lock-in. A SurfSlot booking fee is added at checkout, so we only earn when a customer books.
